Damselfly

Often mistaken for a dragonfly, this is in fact a damselfly. I found a bush full of these insects while walking along a canal in the rural countryside near Čapljina, Bosnia-Herzegovina. They usually keep their wings along the sides of their body while landed, but in this bush they were slowly pulsing their wings. I think that they were drying them in the early sunlight.

Beautiful in color. It looks like the Damselfly has pencils sticking out of its body in beautiful color.
