Stari Most

MostarThis is the Stari Most (or “Old Bridge”) in Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina. It is a rebuilt replica of the ancient bridge that spanned the Neretva River for 427 years, but was destroyed during the Croat-Bosniak War in 1993. Pieces of the original bridge still lay at the bottom of the river, but that doesn’t stop local performers from jumping off of the 78′ high bridge for entertainment.
