I took this picture on the bank of the Zambezi River in Zambia, above Victoria Falls. The crocodile is the apex predator of the reptile family. They are ferocious and deadly hunters in water and on land. Their main diet consists of fish, but they are opportunistic creatures and will eat wildebeests and even humans if the opportunity presents itself. With the way this croc blends into the Zambezi’s River bank, it is easy to see how they could lie in wait and surprise their unexpecting prey.
