This is the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs at the start of a beautiful spring day. Some of you may be thinking that you’ve been here and you don’t remember ever seeing a pond. This pond is fleeting and is only here after heavy flooding rains, which are infrequent in this part of Colorado. This particular image was taken after an unusual week of hard rains. I imagine this is about as deep as this pond can get. It may be rare, but when the water is here it creates a magnificent reflective surface.
