This is the Church of the Good Shepherd on the edge of Lake Tekapo on New Zealand’s South Island. The church was originally built in 1935 and still has regular services.
According to meckenziechurch.org, all the stones for the church were sourced within a 5 mile radius, yet none of the existing stones or bushes near the foundation were disturbed during its construction. It is a picturesque location sitting just above the lake on a small hill. Nothing else in the area has such a magnificent viewpoint. My wife and I arrived shortly before the sunset and other than the large crowd equipped with rather obtrusive selfie sticks it was a perfect.
