Another view of Snowmass Mountain in Colorado, this time in the light of the stars and the moon that had dropped behind the peak.
While I was taking this late night shot (actually it was a really, really early morning), I heard a rockslide across the lake. It was big enough to cause some alarm, but it didn’t reach the lake so all was good. I’ve heard many rockslides in my adventures in mountainous terrains, but never in the dark of night like this one. It was eerily calm for something that has a lot of raw power.
