This old homestead can be found on the Colorado side of Dinosaur National Monument. This area is known as Echo Park and is very close to where the Green and Yampa Rivers converge.
To get here take the Echo Park Road on the Colorado side of the park. The drive down is a gorgeous drive and for most of the peak season (May – Sept) the gravel road is well maintained and easily traversed by most automobiles. During the off-season the road is not maintained and should probably only be attempted with a four-wheel drive vehicle as this part of the park isn’t patrolled and it could be a while before you are discovered if you get stuck. That being said, if you are in the area and are able to make the drive down, go. It is a beautiful oasis.
