Is their anything more beautiful than a tree in its autumn color change and flowers still flush with their summer color? Add them together and throw in some stunning red rock formations and you have a recipe for some pretty amazing scenery.
I took this picturesque early autumn photo on the Glen Eyrie property in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The column rock formation towering over this garden is known as Major Domo, so named by the children of General Palmer, the founder of Colorado Springs. Glen Eyrie was the Palmer’s family home and today is a hidden oasis that is well worth a visit, especially in autumn.
