Waiharakeke Bay is one of the many gorgeous beaches my wife and I walked along while hiking the Abel Tasman Coastal Track on New Zealand’s South Island. This spot was very memorable as the storm clouds had started to role in and a faint rainbow appeared in the distance. The fresh water from the mountains flowed down here where they met the salty water of the bay. We had the beach entirely to ourselves, but oddly there was a boot. you can see it on the right embankment in the photo. Very odd that someone would lose one boot here. Maybe it came down stream. One of life’s mysteries.
