The La Quebrada Cliff Divers group in Acapulco, Mexico has been jumping off these rocks daily for over 80 years. The jump is a hair-raising 115′ plunge into the choppy sea that can be as shallow as 6′ deep. Timing is crucial. This is one heck of a death-defying act.

Gyeongbokgung Guard

The Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, South Korea has guards draped in colorful uniforms standing watch at the gates. The palace is reminiscent of the Imperial Palace in Beijing, but far less crowded and much smaller. I found this a very affordable and enjoyable place to explore.
