Zhangjiajie Primate

Jennifer and I found this macaque along with its large family while hiking through the dense Karst Mountains in China’s Zhangjiajie National Park. This particular Zhangjiajie primate perched up on this stone wall while we made our way up the steep staircase. It was a very surreal experience to have this troop of more than…

Where Are We Going?

“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” -Martin Luther King Jr. Today is a day when we remember a man whose legacy was unity and equality for all people, regardless of race. The formations are covered in green by trees that somehow find a way to cling to the rocky pillars. It is a strange and uniquely beautiful place.

Zhangjiajie Path

This is a rain covered pathway in China’s Zhangjiajie National Park. As you can see, the moss grows on everything (the stairs, the rock walls, and even the railings). Zhangjiajie is a beautiful green wilderness where the wildlife, rushing water, and epic rock formations make for some amazing nature hikes.

Celestial Bridge

It rains a lot in Zhangjiajie National Park, therefore, it has many bridges as a part of the beautiful, well maintained hiking trails. This is Celestial Bridge, found on one of the Northeastern most trails in the park. This path doesn’t reveal the rock formations that the park is famous for, but I found that it was one of the…
